My lives in a small town. There are about two thousand people live there. There is a rive with an old and small bridge over it in the town. There is a museum and a school. The museum is next to the school. On Main Street there is a hospital, a supermarket, a bus station, a flower shop and a restaurant, There is not a police station. There is not a cinema in the town. If people want to see a film, they have to go to the centre of the city. It takes 30 minutes to get there by bus. The bus stop is in front of Amy's house. She usually goes to the cinema with her mother on Sundays. 

Elephants are the biggest land animals in the world. There are two kinds of elephants, the sian elephants and the African elephants. Elephants live in parts of Africa and Asia. All the frican elephants have tusks(象牙)but only the male(雄性)Asian elephants have tusks. They use their tusks for digging(挖) and finding food. 

Female(雌性) elephants are called cows. They start to have babies when they come to 12 years old and they are pregnant(怀孕的)for 22 months. An elephant can use its tusks to dig for ground water. An adult(成年的) elephant needs to drink around 210 litres(升) of water a day. 

Elephants have large, thin ears. Ears help cool them down in hot days. An elephant's trunk(象鼻) can grow to be about 2 meters long and can weigh up to 140 kg. Some scientists believe that there are no bones in the elephant's trunk. Elephants can swim. They use their trunks to breathe(呼吸)in deep water.
