Good morning, everyone! I'm Tony. My topic today is "What ties a family together". I think it's many things that help us stay together.

First, being there for each other is very (重要的). Even if someone is (缺席的) or silent, we always keep each other in mind. We are (很少) angry with each other because we try to listen and understand. (几乎) every night, we eat dinner together. It's a time to talk and share our day. So at this time, we don't need to hide (我们自己) . When we meet some difficulties, we usually have (严重的) talks, but we also (开玩笑) and laugh a lot. Even when we have different ideas, we refuse to let it (中断，打破) our bond. We know each person's (职位) in the family and respect it. As a result,we face (问题) together and get close to each other. 

In the end, I think it is love, care and spending time together that tie a family.

Family brings us love and warmth. Let's get to know Ken's family!

Sally: Is this the photo of your family, Ken?     

Ken: Yes, it is.

Sally: Are these your grandparents?

Ken: My grandfather is on the left and my grandmother is on the right.

Sally: I see.

Ken: That's my uncle, my father's younger brother. He is a postman in our town.

Sally: Who is the boy in front of your uncle?

Ken: His name is Jim. The photo reminds me of sweet memories with my family.

I am Timo. Do you want to know what a school day is like? I can tell you about that.

My school begins at 9:00 am. I usually have breakfast at home. Then I walk to school. It's only a 10-minute walk. There are 18 students in my class. Each lesson is 45 minutes long. We study many things, like science, maths, home economics and PE. I really enjoy home economics lessons, because they teach me how to manage(操持，打理) a home and family life.

Lunchtime is usually at 12:00 at noon. The afternoon lessons begin at 12:30 and finish at 2:15 pm. After school, we have some time to hang out at the park. Then I go to my ice hockey club. It's my favourite sport.

My family always has dinner at around 6:00 pm. After that, I read with my parents for an hour. That's an important part of my everyday life. Then I get my schoolbag ready for the next day. At 9:30 pm, 1 go to bed.

So there you have it. That's my school day.

Hobbies can be anything. They are a(n)  part of your lives. They help you use your imagination (想象力) and try many new things.  how do you pick a hobby? Here are some ideas to help you.

Remember what you liked when you were young.

Think about what made you happy as a child and what you could  a lot of time doing. If you  drawing when you were little, you would think about taking a class at an art museum.

Think about what you' re interested  now.

Do you like reading books? Maybe you would enjoy writing books by  . Turn your interests into hobbies.

Think about the skills you have.

Some hobbies  certain (特定的) skills. If you don't have many skills, you might not enjoy paper-cutting by hand. If you enjoy fixing and building things, you could pick a(n)  like working on old cars or making model airplanes.

Pay attention to what gets you excited.

The things you  talk about can show what you really like. Think about the subjects you always talk about. Ask some of your  what you talk about the most. Then you can know how to turn it into a hobby.

In a word, starting a new hobby is good for you. It can help you live a better life.

I am excited to say that I have a lot of fun in my school. Our school (have) many interesting activities and clubs. I (real) like singing, so I choose the music club. In the club, I make new friend Jack. He is a rock music lover and he often (play) the guitar in the school band. I want (be) a good guitarist like him. My sister Alice enjoys (count), so she is in the math club. She thinks math is (use). My brother Michael is interested the drama. He is good at telling (story). He often acts them out with his friends.

We learn a lot in different clubs. We learn more about the (mean) of life. We learn more about the past. We know differences make our world beautiful!

Alex Greenall is from England. He is a student at Park School in Oxford. He goes to school on weekdays(工作日). He  very hard at school. The following is his school day. 

Alex often gets at half past seven in the morning, and then has breakfast. He goes to school at half past eight and sees friends. Then they begin to have classes at nine o' clock. Alex has three lessons in the morning and his favourite  are English and art. 

At eleven o' clock, Alex has a break in the playground and he likes to with his friends. They go to the playground and play football.  Alex doesn't think football is interesting. 

Then Alex has lunch in the hall at half past twelve. After lunch, Alex starts his lessons in the afternoon at half past one. He has two lessons in the afternoon. Then he can go home at

half past three. In the evening, Alex usually watches TV and has dinner with his family. Then he does his  and goes to bed early. The mid-term exam is coming. He feels a bit . How about your school day?
