If someone tells you that some students are attending their high school classes at a shopping mall, he or she may not be joking with you. About seven months ago, the Burlington High School(伯灵顿高中) in Vermont, U. S. A., closed its doors for some reason. That means students would have to learn at home for much of the school year.
Later, the school finally decided to use an old Macy's Store as its new campus. It took about ten weeks to turn it into a learning centre. Most of its decor(装饰) have not been changed, including the use of the building's escalators(自动扶梯) and its red carpeting. Some parts of the school still hold signs for brands like Michael Kors, Calvin Klein and Levi's.
Most students feel happy to be back in school and to learn. Some even prefer the new building to their old campus. "It's weird(奇异的) but cool at the same time," said a student, "and the escalators are convenient."
